Nestled peacefully along the poetic Thu Bon River, Thanh Ha Pottery Village embodies the nostalgic charm and serenity of a craft village that has endured for over half a millennium. A visit here is not only a leisurely walk but also a journey back in time, recalling the prosperous era of Vietnam’s traditional pottery.
Founded in the 15th–16th centuries in Thanh Liem Village, Thanh Ha pottery quickly reached its golden age within just a century, when its products were chosen as tributes to the royal court. What sets Thanh Ha pottery apart is the unique brown clay collected along the Thu Bon River, prized for its exceptional stickiness and elasticity. Every stage of production is carried out with skill and dedication, turning each item into a delicate piece of handcrafted art.
The village mainly produces jars, vases, bowls, flower pots, and a wide variety of household items. Lighter in weight, diverse in shape, and vibrant in color, these products are not only practical but also carry high aesthetic value, reflecting the remarkable artistry of local craftsmen.

Through centuries of ups and downs, Thanh Ha Pottery Village has resiliently kept its flame alive, preserving the essence of a traditional Vietnamese craft village. Amidst the tranquil setting of ancient houses and glowing kilns, visitors can immerse themselves in the rustic charm of the countryside, try their hand at making pottery, and truly appreciate the simple yet refined beauty that has flourished for more than 500 years.
Located in the heart of Thanh Ha traditional pottery village, Thanh Ha Terracotta Park was built just five years ago with a total investment of over 22 billion VND, covering an area of nearly 6,000 m². The project is the brainchild of architect Nguyen Van Nguyen, who not only invested but also personally designed and brought this unique idea to life.
The park stands out with two main buildings, each symbolizing the art of pottery:

What makes Thanh Ha pottery truly special lies not only in the refined techniques but also in the artisans’ burning passion for their craft. Each piece carries a soul, a deep love and a sense of pride in a tradition that has been alive for more than 500 years.
