On foot
If you prefer to stay on land or are prone to seasickness, you can easily walk to the theme park. Cross Cam Nam Bridge, then continue about 200 meters until you reach 200 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street. Turn left and walk straight ahead — you’ll soon arrive at the entrance to the park.
The Hoi An Memories Show begins with a touching scene that symbolizes the origins of life and community in the ancient town. A young couple appears on stage — the wife quietly weaving cloth beside their playful child — an image rich with meaning, representing growth, fertility, and the humble beginnings that laid the foundation for Hoi An as we know it today.
Everyday activities such as harvesting rice, weaving fabric, and casting fishing nets are brought to life through the seamless harmony of music, light, and movement. The sight of hardworking men striving to provide for their families and fishermen rejoicing over a bountiful catch paints a vivid portrait of a peaceful, simple, and deeply human Hoi An.
This act vividly recreates the royal wedding between Princess Huyen Tran of Dai Viet and King Che Man of the ancient Champa Kingdom. The scene marks a historical turning point, symbolizing the alliance and enduring friendship between the two nations.
Through magnificent choreography and evocative visuals, the performance captures not only the beauty of this union but also its profound cultural meaning. Princess Huyen Tran appears as a messenger of peace and connection, a woman whose grace and sacrifice helped bridge two civilizations and introduced Vietnamese culture to the wider world.
In this act, the imagery of a lantern and the sea is masterfully used to portray a young woman standing silently on the shore, waiting for her beloved who has sailed far into the vast ocean. The flickering lantern glows faintly in the wind — fragile yet steadfast — a symbol of unwavering hope and love. In contrast, the dark, roaring sea stretches endlessly, its waves echoing both distance and longing.
The performance beautifully captures the essence of loyalty, patience, and eternal devotion, mirroring the very soul of Hoi An’s people — sincere, resilient, and full of quiet strength.
Audiences are swept from moments of intense yearning to quiet reflection, before the story closes with a profoundly human message — “go far, only to find your way home.”
Set against the backdrop of the Thu Bon River, this act captures the vibrant spirit of Hoi An during the 16th and 17th centuries, when the port was a bustling crossroads of international trade. Cultures, languages, and cuisines intertwined harmoniously, creating a cosmopolitan hub where East met West in a celebration of diversity.
As the scene unfolds, you are transported back in time to a thriving era when merchants from Japan, China, and Europe converged in this small yet extraordinary town, shaping the multicultural identity that still defines Hoi An today.
In the final act, the stage lights up with the flowing elegance of the Vietnamese Ao Dai, blending the nostalgic charm of old Hoi An with the vibrancy of modern artistry. The delicate movements of women in Ao Dai, paired with the harmony of music and light, evoke both innocence and timeless beauty, as if gently carrying the audience back to carefree school days under the golden sun.
Within just one hour, the audience journeys through waves of emotion — joy and wonder, nostalgia and longing — before leaving with a quiet sense of warmth and reflection, touched by the eternal spirit of Hoi An.
